Today we continue with a preview of the Manitoba teams qualified for Keystone Cup 2018: KJHL runner-up St. Malo Warriors.

2017-18 regular season record: 16-13-0-5 (sixth-best overall)

2018 KJHL playoffs record: 8-8

Road to KJHL championship

Quarterfinals: OCN Storm, 3-1

Semifinals: Selkirk Fishermen, 4-3

Finals: lost vs Peguis Juniors, 1-4

St. Malo had the most difficult path to the Keystone Cup after finishing sixth overall in the KJHL regular season. A first round matchup with third seeded OCN Storm, who won 17-straight games through January, started with a loss before a three-game turnaround.

League-best Selkirk Fishermen were the next opponent in the semifinals. The two teams battled in a seven-game series with St. Malo winning the finale 3-2.
